Lessons by al-Habib Ali al-Jifri on explaining “The Ray of Clear Light of the Revival of the Religious Sciences” written by al-Habib Umar bin Hafiz

Habib Ali al-Jifri will deliver a series of lessons on Habib Umar b. Hafiz’s commentary of “The Condemnation of Rage, Rancor and Envy” from his work “The Ray of Clear Light of the Revival of the Religious Sciences” that deals with the fourth section of Imam al-Ghazali’s Ihya Ulum ud-Din: ‘Ways to Perdition’.

   The third lesson will be delivered in the Fairmont Royal Hotel in Toronto, Canada as follows:

    The Ihya Ulum ud-Din, or “Revival of the Religious Sciences”, is Imam al-Ghazali’s major work which spans four major sections each of which contains ten sub-chapters covering all aspects of the Islamic sciences. It is one of the most important works in Islamic spirituality and is considered to be amongst the most read books in the Muslim world after the Quran.
