Lives of Man

Habib Ali covers the famous book, Lives of Man, written by Imam Al Haddad, the great Yemeni scholar. The book discusses the five stages of life in which all human beings must pass. The five stages are, before birth, birth to death, life in the grave,standing on the day of judgement, and life in either heaven or hell.

Shamaail, Imam al-Tirmidhi

Habib Ali discusses a few select sayings from Imam al-Tirmidhi's famous Shamaail, a collection of hadith that give the physical descripton and character of our beloved Prophet, Prayers and Peace be upon Him.

Introducing the Seerah of the Prophet - Pt1

Habib Ali focuses on events surrounding the birth of the Prophet, upon him be peace, and the custom of the Arabs at the time to send their newborns to the desert for initial upbringing. The event of the mawlid, or birth, also raises some pertinent issues that exist in our time - praising the Prophet, reciting poetry in his honour and gathering to commemorate the noble birth.

Habib Ali continues with the preliminaries required before entering the seerah of the Prophet, upon him be peace. In this lecture he addresses the sublime rank of the Prophet and the virtue that was apportioned to anything that possessed an attachment to him, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.
